Harshil’s Hidden valleys and Gangotri’s Gentle Breeze
Recently we went on a trip to Gangotri and Harsil valley, where we explored many places and it was one of our best college trips. It was a 3 day trip beginning from 29th September to 1st October.
Day 1(From Haridwar to Harsil)
On 29th September we departed from the college at around 6 am, and headed towards Harsil from the bus. It was a 12 hour long journey and we reached our Hotel in Harsil in the evening at around 7 pm. On our way , we had our breakfast and also took a hot water bath in the Hot Spring of Gangnani. It felt warm and we were relaxed after traveling throughout the day. We resumed our journey and headed towards our hotel in Dharali village of Harshil. The hotel was spacious and affordable. We took some rest and then went for dinner. As we had traveled the whole day, we decided to take a rest in the hotel itself. The Dharali Village is also home to many spiritual temples and Kalp Kedar is one of them. We also got a chance to explore this temple and know its spiritual importance.
Day 2 (Gangorti and Harsil)
The next day, on 30th September, we departed for Gangotri early in the morning. The Gangotri Temple is considered one among the 4 Dhams of Indian culture. When we entered the temple, it felt blissful and the environment was full of positivity. After the temple, we also went to witness the Ganga river and the pure touch of Holy Ganga felt like a feather to the soul. The scenic beauty , the spiritual environment of the place and the presence of Maa Ganga felt like heaven. We prayed at the temple, and then departed for Harsil Valley.
As soon as we entered Harsil, a cool breeze welcomed us and it felt like nature was awaiting and calling us. Located on the banks of Bhagirathi, this small place holds beauty at its peak. The view was just mesmerizing and we captured a lot of pictures . It is a perfect tourist spot, which is still unexplored. Later we also visited some of the villages of Harsil, which we will see in our next blog.
